Upon returning to the United States in 1987, Brian Kersten Wisconsin entered a mixed animal practice in Baldwin, Wisconsin, where he purchased the practice in 2001. Ownership of the course allowed him to provide top-notch care to animals in the community while serving as the President of the Pierce St. Croix Humane Society from 2001 to 2003.

In 2016, a career shift occurred when he sold his practice. However, his passion for animal welfare remained undiminished. He continued to pursue his calling, founding a low-cost veterinary clinic in 2021 to support those who could not afford regular veterinary care for their pets.

His dedication to philanthropy and helping those in need extends beyond veterinary medicine. Actively involved in charitable activities, he consistently demonstrates a commitment to improving the world.

At Today's Harvest Food Shelf, he volunteers his time, helping stock shelves and assisting needy customers. His involvement in this charitable organization reflects a desire to contribute to the local community and help combat food insecurity.
