This is probably the first time I’ve put together a mix that truly captures the length and style I’m known for, yet rarely get to share. Living in Chicago, surrounded by so many local curators, has shaped me more than I realized. Over the past six years, I’ve explored house, minimal, techno, progressive, and trance independently, and now I’m finding myself blending them in ways I never expected—while still staying true to the sound I love. It’s not easy. It takes time and experience to merge different genres in a cohesive way. I’m not saying I’ve perfected it, in fact I’m nowhere near but I know I’m on the right path. For that, I have to thank Chicago and its diverse music scene. 

I used the Xone 96 because I wanted to just focus on clean mixing. When I use the V10 I catch myself relying on the effects too much for transitions. 

I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I did mixing it . First of many.

German born and native Brian Laruso is steadily forging his reputation as DJ, producer and artist with an exceptional taste to detail, integrity and execution. Currently based in Ibiza Spain his unique musical visions create special dance floor moments, whether it’s through his DJ sets that take audiences on a real journey or through his weekly radio shows and playlists.
Not one for trends or music fashions Brian Laruso’s understanding of music and people is key in all his sets. Building an increasing and loyal fanbase Laruso is well versed in the art of entertaining the more discerning dance music scene. Having already featured on the likes of Magic Islands and Black Hole Recordings, Laruso’s growth reached greater levels. If you would pick one track that stands out, you wouldn’t go around his impeccable collaboration with Roger Shah called ‘Higher Than The Sun’ featuring the talented JES on Black Hole Recordings.
In 2005 he formed a project called Global Experience with his friend Roger Shah. Overall Laruso has reached nearly 2 Million streams on Spotify and is constantly growing.
