Never heard of this genre before, but if you wanna move the beat along, I would suggest a nice  bassy kick and sidechain of that atmosphere. It'd really sound great against some nature samples and stuff. 

I like the little stutter of percussion here

I'm not really into droney ambient music, but the parts with rhythm were cool.

I would've liked the percussion to continue, but that's just me!
