These elements of strategic frequency and subtly placed 'stretchy-glitcheees' swimming through tides of mounting tonality... had me completely at ease within 30 sec.....Nicely crafted my friend.

When we first learned we'd confirmed DJ T. to play our Desert Hearts Spring Festival, there was a collective shock of disbelief and astonishment that ran through all of us.  DJ T. had been one of our biggest idols for as long as we could remember, and now he was going to headline our desert festival which started from such humble beginnings. This was a "We made it..." moment for us.

As we started curating the flow of DJs for our 70 hour non-stop party, we only had one time slot in mind for DJ T. 

Sunday Sunrise.

In our eyes there is no better time slot at Desert Hearts than Sunday Sunrise. If anyone had the track record to create magic on Sunday morning, it was DJ T.. He was the sole choice to lead our moment of triumph.

I meditated, ate organic food the entire weekend, was sober until I got on stage (had a bit of whiskey on stage to calm the nerves ;) ...Basically I put a lot of love into it... Here's an hour long live recording of from a very special "Sup3fr3q" warehouse party with Mr. C in Dallas, Texas in October 2011.   I submitted the mix to the monthly Proton Radio show Circular Sound Radio for it's January 2012 installment.

In my new studio mix series I want to offer some mixes in different genres, and with a little different feel than you might get from a live mix.

I've been exploring tracks I don't play out much or else in a long time, that are not necessary dance-driven but more interesting conceptually...

This first mix is a techno mix which starts gently and escalates quickly before coming back down to a nice close.

It would be a lot to ask a dance floor to have this much change in energy but this isn't for the dance floor necessarily

It's more a reflection of the chaos all of us feel in our lives right now.

I've done a few LiveStreams, all house, and really been dying to play some techno.

This set even started as a livestream, but had some tech issues so I just played for my wife an I, and opened up a bit more musically than I probably would have if live

Anyway, hope you are well out there wherever you are!
