After watching the Q anon documentary "Into The Storm" on HBO, I picked up my guitar and wrote this song.

While watching an episode of The Great I was struck by an exceptional  song choice that a music supervisor made by using The Wild One by Suzi Quatro over the end credits. While listening to the song I envisioned it as a T-Rex song and wanted to re-imagine the production as if Marc Bolan recorded it. The idea kept bothering me until I picked up my guitar and learned the song, came up with an arrangement and layed it down. The result is now posted here...

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of that album, I've re-recorded a 2023 version of "Temporary" originally written about the suicide of someone I was getting to know at the time. "KITE" Written by U2. covered / performed by Brian Travis 

While listening to U2's 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' on vinyl last weekend, I was struck by how beautiful this song is. I wanted to see if I could cover it. I had to shift the key to make it singable for my limited range, but I enjoyed tracking it in my home studio and am happy with the result.

This song reminds me of living in Santa Cruz in the late 90's. Riding around in my girlfriend's white truck, eating thai food, sneaking pizza into movie theaters and generally loving life in that sleepy little beach town. When this album came out I bought my girlfriend and I tickets for the Elevation tour and we arrived early enough to get a good general admission spot on the floor right up against the heart shaped stage/catwalk. It was such an amazing show. One of my all time favorite concerts.

This cover was recorded in my home studio. I played all the parts. I was going to add a bass part, but decided I thought it sounded fine without it. Enjoy!

'39 is a song originally recorded by Queen, written by Brian May. It was released on their 1975 album "A Night at the Opera". 

This is my rendition of this fantastic song. This is a song I've always wanted to learn and thanks to the Shelter in Place orders of 2020 I had the spare time to make that happen. I made a video for this song as well. You can view it here: https://youtu.be/AEurfbx2vGo

'39 Queen cover by Brian Travis

"Albatross" Words and music by Brian Travis (c)(p) 2021 Taste This Moment Music. 
I wrote this track after reading the tale of the ancient mariner who killed an albatross that was following a ship filled with a crew of sailors. To atone for the bad luck it brought the crew he had to carry the dead albatross from a rope around his neck for the rest of his days. More terrible things happened. The end. The final verse is about a modern leader who incited insurrection at The White House on Jan 6th 2021. He too now carries the weight of his deeds in spite of how much he refuses to accept blame.
