Flame of Love

This was the test song demo for what I'm calling the Troper Project. &nbsp;I decided that all of the recordings for the time being would shift to the "chamber" format, envisioning a small acoustic ensemble backing a small technically proficient chorale, with a harp, a set of woodwinds, and just a few others for foundation. &nbsp;As a test song, it forced me to shift radically in feel, from the standard folk approach of the original when I wrote it back in Lynchburg. &nbsp;In addition to instrumentation decisions, I am trying to re-focus the feel of most new songs: &nbsp;avoid the backbeat and work toward a more "classical" emphasis on the downbeat.
