Destructive

A faint vocal floating over an underwater piano gently loops until the drop comes in with a booming infrabass, a beautiful Indian rug sounding sample is extended while the percussions elegantly build up, one can hear the FM growl with a lush hybrid Ableton reverb raising the tension to bring a down pitched vocal before introducing a drake type beat sounding fill, a smooth mellotron takes us to the next section which has a floating piano and the main vocal chop loop prepared for us, it ill let it soak for some seconds before introducing a very shiny drill sections, with a baby voiced dub verse by holasoyneto himself, in the midst of all those shiny sounds we can hear still amazing detail being done in the very drill like adlibs, after this rasta reggae drill section passes we are introduced to a familiar hardstyle melody being hummed again by the man himself mandragora while the adlibs keep going insane building intensity and anticipation for the drop, we can hear again the main vocal down pitch and a very aggressive adlib used as a fill before a classy prog drop paired with the same humming melody we heard before and a beautiful piano line simulating falling stars, we can hear the vocal creeping in along a drill hi hat pattern, the synth cutoff is opening building tension letting us know its time to introduce a jazzy chord progression after the too jazzy fill, we can hear the melody playing and interlocking with a beautifully crafted FM hi-hitech roar, all of this backed up by a beautiful piano which is then pithed up to create a beautiful distortion which some could call mad but others would catalog as beautiful, it seems like the creator of the piece appreciates both kind of comments, after this pretentious section we get a dry melodic drop paired with the beautiful vocal we hard in the beginning, interlocking it with the hairstyle bit we can hear an adlib being stretched to introduce the infamous “you are listening to mandragora” produced tag over the same fucked up piano but a bit more fucked up for the final drop, which reminds us of how fucking cozy this jam was.

Good news! Garsi is back on JEAHMON! Records. After her massive and impressive debut in 2022 with "For A Vibe" we are so happy to welcome her back with two more brilliant bangers. A1-Track "LDN" comes with a break attitude, kind of future-retro Indie style but absolutely on point for the floor! A strict voice plus a warm Synthwave lead line make this track definitely a killer for special moments. The second track "TLV" is more straight but not less magical and powerful. What a great vibe it creates! In addition, label head Marc DePulse didnt miss the chance to put his fingers on the leading track. Marc goes back to a 4x4 rhythm with his translation of "LDN". To say it with the words of "LDN": No House - no life! Let's goooo!

"Some time ago we had a utopian vision that seemed impossible in an increasingly saturated market where the music business was taking the strength and direction where many artists were betraying their talent to sell more records and become popular.

Back then, two enthusiasts from their little corner in Paris decided to create a record label to give some positive air to all the pollution and toxicity we were living, a label where we could all contribute in a positive way to help children in the poorest regions of the world.

Who are you? Thanks but no thanks, we often heard, but over time the idea became a reality and with the help of many artists who without asking for anything in return did not hesitate for even a second to be part of this project Lost on You was born and that vision became our mission.

Today, after 5 years of foundation the effort of all led us to build a school in Sierra Leone where 207 children study happily since September 2021 in 6 well-equipped classrooms, with teachers well-trained by our organization and collaborators. Going a step further for this year 2023 we will open two new schools in Liberia in partnership with SoundCloud, but none of this would be possible without all the people involved in our project, from the artists to the media who help us without asking anything in return. This release is a tribute to all of them, a selection of our favorite tracks during these 5 years, for you and for all those who are still faithfully by our side.

Vita V made an auspicious debut on Renaissance in 2022. Now, just as with his ‘Inspiratu EP’, he drops another stunning 4-tracker, though this time he’s brought along some added remix power!

All of the 4 original tracks on the EP carry distinct, Vita traits, being melodic with that slight, twisted edge that rides genres, alongside highly creative titling, “‘Sorioneku’ was recently discovered to be the oldest word in Basque, which is my native tongue,” he says with a smile, “it’s a nice way to kick things off because it means lucky, so hopefully it’s prophetic, both in terms of the release and year ahead!”

The EP receives wider appeal through 2 cracking remixes. Fellow countryman EdOne takes-on title track, ‘Sorioneku’, infusing it with housey stabs and a warm, techno feel; whilst Dor Reuveni and Takiru, fresh from the success of ‘Bubblegum’ on Renaissance’ ‘Merin EP’, transport ‘Eparina’ into an infectious, indie realm - lovely stuff!
