BURNING MAN/ Pachanga Boys - Time [Brian Cid Extinct Remix]

The boss is back home! And as you'd expect from Hernan, its jam packed full of goodness. This collection of gems are all new versions of tracks that were used and made for Hernan's Balance CD, all freshly updated for you lovely Sudbeat fans.

So lets get to it, and we kick of with James Teej superb rework of 'Into The Edge' from Hernan & Soundexile. James has recently been in the studio with Timo Mass to remix Paul McCartney. We'll let that sink in a minute while you realise how big a deal that is...! James remix has Big bass, emotive chords and tinkling melodies that combine beautifully here creating rather large rework of epic proportions, with a tad of melancholy thrown in for good measure.

Rising start Khen takes controls next, and with his recent works on Plattenbank, microCastle and Lost & Found, its no wonder this likeable chap is causing a bit of a fuss. This intense melodic gem subtly grabs your attention along its mesmerising voyage before its devastatingly cool key changes raise the temperature even hotter on this damn fine remix.

Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile - Lunar (Simon Vuarambon Interpretation) is our next port of call. Simon is a Sudbeat favourite and makes a welcome return working his magic on Lunar. This rework is a sophisticated del journey that undulates and teases, with alight eastern vibe, this musical workout is a lesson in restraint in the studio.

And another Sudbeat favourite, Mike Griego remixes Hernan Cattaneo & Guy Mantzur - Imaginarium, and takes this in to a hypnotic territory, that locks you in to its magical spell, encapsulating your mind, while its tension builds and the track develops beautifully. A solid dance floor workout rounds of this package superbly.

The original “Sad Robot” collaboration between Nick Warren and Guy Mantzur was heaped with acclaim when it first appeared on John Digweed’s Bedrock label a year ago. This sparkling gem of a track pushed all the right buttons with a euphoric attitude that only comes from years of experience of rocking the best dancefloors around the world week in week out, and now the label is set to take the story to the next level with 3 diverse, exciting new remixes.

The enigmatic Rich Lane from Newcastle Under Lyme (who also records under aliases such as Original Disco Thing and Chug Norris) has been gaining plaudits for his musical creations that loosely fall into the realms of what are variously tagged “Slo-Mo”, “Chug”, “Nu-Disco” and even “NEW New Beat”. Hailing from the current hotbed of exciting musical evolution, Argentina’s Alejo Gonzalez (renowned for his show on Radio 90.3FM Delta) has joined forces with fellow DJ and producer Max Blade to create a beautifully melancholic interpretation of “Sad Robot”, a perfect, understated finale for this remix package. Cryptozoology, the search for and study of animals whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated, such as the Loch Ness monster and the yeti, is something that Henry Saiz finds deeply intriguing. His love of exoticism and strange natural/organic sounds (his own label is called Natura Sonoris - which means Nature of Sound) provide the fuel for this latest stunning Bedrock release.

“The Cryptozoologist” has an instantly striking, mysterious Andean / Peruvian melodic influence that harks back to cultures shrouded in the mysteries of time, creating a truly haunting track. “Uncharted” is equally hypnotic and enthralling and yet distinctly different. Henry is using a lot of analogue vintage gear to create his music, which is giving him a very distinct sound, a path that will lead to his hotly awaited debut artist album (due out in April 2013) on which he will delve totally into and explore an analogue world (www.wearehenrysaiz.com).

Henry's critically acclaimed “Balance 019” album, released in 2011, was the catalyst for his star potential explode around the globe.
