Brian Curry is a central New Jersey-based singer/songwriter. Frequently touring with his bandmates in Cold Weather Company, Brian has played many venues throughout the northeast.  Brian's sound has been described as earthy and warm, while his lyrics have been called insightful, honest, and thought-provoking.  His finger-picked style places his music in nature, where he can frequently be found exploring interpreting, and creating.  Brian performs with formidable passion, allowing listeners to become a part of each song.  

"I've been writing since childhood--it started with short stories, poems, prose, and aphorisms.  When I began playing guitar at fourteen, I realized how everything comes together through song--lyrics are performed, accompanied by an ecosystem of instruments that all work together to create and ambiance and convey the message of the piece.  This thought was brought about by my deep passion for ecology and site-specific history.  I can always be found exploring spaces both natural and abandoned, searching for patterns in the trees and stories in the rubble.  My songs find their inspiration from life, and their form from my adventures.  
Nature, to me, is something to be both appreciated and interpreted.  My efforts to understand and convey what I learn from the outdoors led me to explore other forms of expression, and my approaches are constantly evolving.  From photography to graphic design, built art, and watercolor paintings, I am always looking for new ways to execute a vision.
