DISTRIKT SOUND is excited to welcome heavy-weight house legend Joeski, with his Lustful Chemicals release for DS002. Joeski is a veteran producer recognized throughout the decades with a library of amazing productions under his belt. This new 2 track EP on DISTRIKT SOUND will turn heads on the dance floor, with influences of tech house, techno, and dub making these tunes dance floor stormers.

Track one on the release is “Lust For Me” with strong, punchy drums and a hypnotic vocal taking the listener to a deep, sexy place. The energy keeps moving with a strong rolling baseline and with synth FX that are sure to keep the listener grooving for more.

Track two, titled “Chemicals” also focuses on a hypnotic vocal to keep the audience going deep while its fat techno beat will keep the dance floor driving. Add sprinkles of 909 rims and sound effects, this is one sure to be a big crowd pleaser.

Welcome to Groove Theory.
On this 7th episode, we have Montreal legend Nathan Burns taking us on a groovy deep minimal journey. Nathan Burns is a reference in the electronic music scene. Since his debut in 2000, he has explored the musical sphere that attracts him; by founding Microzoo as a weekly party at Salon Daomé in Montreal, he helped define a deep and minimal sound that has mutated into a coveted label. Faithful to his residency, he became the artistic director of the venue until he became co-owner. Since then, he has acted as a magnet for the electronic scene and has expressed himself on various stages in the city and occasionally in clubs and festivals abroad.

Brian is a Canadian-born Romanian who has always had a deep connection with music. Having picked up his first DJ controller 15 years ago, his evolution of mixing through different genres of music, from hip-hop, to rock, to EDM, and more, helped define his taste and his current sound.

It’s all about the groove. Whether it’s house, minimal, deep house, or tech house, Brian likes to take the crowd on a journey with eclectic grooves, punchy basslines, and crisp percussions that bring the best dance moves out of everyone. His mission? Sharing positivity with people through music. Nothing brings him more pleasure than seeing the crowd enchanted and dancing with one another. 

In April of 2023, Brian launched his own podcast and event series: Groove Theory. GT's mission is to celebrate the art of house and minimal music. Every month, Brian invites a different artist to showcase their unique sound. These artists will intricately dissect their creative system and express themselves through rhythms, beats, and melodies that will make both experienced and casual dancers move to the groove.
