Welcome back to Groove Theory. For our 24th episode, I'm thrilled to introduce a rising talent from Toronto's underground scene: Lamba. Known for his genre-defying sets and versatile sound palette, Lamba has been making waves with his dynamic mixes that effortlessly fuse house, minimal, and tech house elements.

With over five years spent honing his craft in both production and mixing, Lamba brings a dynamic and boundary-pushing approach to every performance. While he prefers to let his creativity run free, his focus is clear: to deliver immersive, refreshing, and groovy sets that leave a positive, lasting impression on both the passive listener and the dancefloor.
Lamba has performed at festivals like BPM, Summerdaze, Sonic Springs, Art 4 Art, and across Toronto’s underground staples including Bibliotheque, Secret Society, Grand Bizarre, Pearl (just to name a few). His productions have landed on a range of both local and international labels, reflecting his ever-expanding sound.
In this exclusive mix for Groove Theory, Lamba takes us on a rhythmic journey filled with groovy basslines, crisp percussions, and unexpected twists that will keep your body moving.

There is a unique eerie vibe that you can only find in the post-industrial city of La
Louvière, yet it’s the playground of the Portuguese-Italian DJ and producer Vhyce.
Known for his tracks to create subtle tension and tell stories with no or sparse vocals,
Vhyce has developed his trademark cosmic sound over a string of releases on forward
thinking labels such as AEON, Pets, Correspondant without forgetting his own new label
Saint Vaast Recordings - named after his city neighborhood.
His music is supported by the likes of Peggy Gou, Keinemusik, Gerd Janson, Jennifer
Cardini or Dixon and played at Coachella, BBC Radio 1, NTS, Rinse FM and The Lot.
Lately he’s been touring in Europe and South Africa as a DJ as well as maintaining his
Belgium national radio TIPIK residency.

Welcome back to Groove Theory. For our 25th episode, I'm excited to feature a rising talent from São Paulo's vibrant electronic music scene: Canavezzi. 

Canavezzi began his musical career from an early age. With a diverse musical base, he perfected his craft in various genres. Since 2016, Canavezzi has been directing his creativity to the world of electronic music, especially shaping his space in the universe of Minimal music. Notorious for its ability to combine various influences and styles, Canavezzi’s music has a unique signature, revealing a sound that mixes atmospheric and mystical elements in its tracks and mixes.

For this episode, Canavezzi delivers a sonic journey that begins in an introspective and restrained atmosphere, where minimalist elements build a magnetic and immersive tension. Brian is a Canadian-born Romanian who has always had a deep connection with music. Having picked up his first DJ controller 15 years ago, his evolution of mixing through different genres of music, from hip-hop, to rock, to EDM, and more, helped define his taste and his current sound.

It’s all about the groove. Whether it’s house, minimal, deep house, or tech house, Brian likes to take the crowd on a journey with eclectic grooves, punchy basslines, and crisp percussions that bring the best dance moves out of everyone. His mission? Sharing positivity with people through music. Nothing brings him more pleasure than seeing the crowd enchanted and dancing with one another. 

In April of 2023, Brian launched his own podcast and event series: Groove Theory. GT's mission is to celebrate the art of house and minimal music. Every month, Brian invites a different artist to showcase their unique sound. These artists will intricately dissect their creative system and express themselves through rhythms, beats, and melodies that will make both experienced and casual dancers move to the groove.
