Tonight we have an impromptu recording of Anita Baker's classic R&B hit played by me on sax for the Courts at Huntington Station's annual holiday party. The kids as well as the older folks enjoyed it and I hope you do too.

Nights and Days is a project that I kept in hiding for some time. Originally slated for release in 2015 (!), it was briefly made available before being thrown back into the dark dungeon of artistic perfectionism. Fast forward a few years and due to my improved production skills, I feel that the time has come to bring this project to light. 

I've always enjoyed lounge/acid jazz/nu jazz/electronic music/fusion music and feel like this album demonstrates my personality by combining my traditional jazz roots with these contemporary forms. Think of NIghts and Days as a musical snapshot - a moment in time where jazz met electronica and went tropical. 


About Nights and Days (NsDs):
I composed, performed and produced all of the songs; an experiment to see what was possible with my own two hands and ears. At the time of recording, I was not in the healthiest mental state but I was being exposed to more tropical house and EDM than ever before. NsDs came about as an attempt to combine the new (to me) sounds of Tropical House, Lounge and EDM with my traditional jazz improvisation roots.

Super producer Dejuan N Only had this beat up on his YT page and I dug his hip hop interpretation of this classic. Just wanted to pay a small tribute to MJ and play one of my favorite songs from his catalog, "Lady in My Life". I sincerely hope you enjoy, and don't be afraid to sing along :)

My name is Brian Forehand, I am a Saxophonist/Producer from Washington, D.C. I write and perform my own songs as well as those of other artists.
