As a veteran DJ of the Southern Californian rave scene, Conduit has been quietly honing his craft in the Los Angeles underground. He strives to weave a unique blend of beats and rhythms to create an atmosphere of conscious driven music, as this mix perfectly showcases.

D-FORMATION is Dimas Carbajo, the owner and main exponent of BEATFREAK GROUP, a business alliance which, among others, includes well within the first Spanish record label of underground electronic music , BEATFREAK RECORDINGS, which was the one that took this national music style to the entire planet in 1997.

With over 25 years in his career path, both in worldwide booths and music studios in his role as a producer, D-FORMATION is one of the most respectable artists in electronic music across the world. Proof of that is his album 'MADRID' for YOSHITOSHI, (Deep Dish's label), which was included in one of the most prestigious compilation series of the industry, so far being the only Spanish artist featured in it.
When he was barely 17 years old, he was awarded the first prize of the Spanish DMC DJ championship for two consecutive times (watch video) and as from that time onwards his work was indefatigable both as a megamixer for numerous Spanish multinational music companies and as travelling around the entire country with his DMC gigs.

Soon after, when he was only 23 years, one of his ever greatest projects came about and that was setting up his own record label, MD RECORDS, with which he revolutionized the electronic music market establishing himself as the owner of the Spanish label with the best electronic music. 

As from that moment onwards, his rise as a DJ and producer has been unstoppable, achieving and securing the recognition and support of the great majority of the underground industry from tech and progressive house to trance. And all was due to those melodic tinges, inherent to his tracks, which delighted and made wonders with artists such as Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo or Deep Dish and enabled him to work for important record labels like Sony Music, Virgin Records, EMI, Beatfreak, Tusom, Toolroom, Yoshitoshi, Frequenza, Nervous, Twisted, CR2, Stereo Productions, Monique Musique or Baroque.

Nowadays he combines his work at the studio with an almost permanent tour across the best festivals and events in the entire world such as Space, Amnesia, Privilege or Pacha in Ibiza, Ageha and Womb (Tokyo), Zouk Club (Singapore), Pacha Cielo (New York), Stereo (Montreal) Sirena (Brazil), Ministry Of Sound (London), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Queen (Paris), Pacha Sharm (Egypt), Space (Miami), Avalon (Los Angeles), Space of Sound or Fabrik (Madrid), SOS Club, Cindirella Club, Absolut Club, Feelnet Club (China), Evil Club (Seoul) or Stadium Club (Jakarta) at which he has shared the booth with as renowned artists as Marco Carola, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Loco Dice, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, Dubfire, Nic Fanchulli, Chus & Ceballos, Dave Clarke, Layo & Bushwacka, Sharam, Victor Calderone, Technasia, Michel De Hey, Booka Shade or Umek.

In 2014 Beatport has regarded D-FORMATION as one of the most important artists of the last decade, along with great names who has also made history such as Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Sasha, John Digweed, Nathan Fake, Guy Gerber or Dave Seaman.

Montreal based label @00-am are back with their third Various Artists 12” in as many years featuring friends from near and far! D. Tiffany, @acemo, Flørist, and Max Wyatt contribute a gambit of refreshing productions well-rounded enough to become a mainstay in any DJ bag.

Brooklyn’s AceMo is on a tear as of late. With respect flying in from all corners for his consistently solid productions and DJ sets, the man is heading towards big stages. “Dub 2 Toronto,” his contribution to the 003, is a melancholy dub-influenced affair soaked in ethereal pads and lo-fi mechanics. Bubbling through the haze is an infectious sub-aqueous bassline sure to pull some afters zombies out of their K-holes. This is a track for late-night drives. Throw it on in the Acura and let it slither through your speakers as you meander aimlessly through the quiet streets of your town or city.

The 00:AM 003 is set for vinyl and digital release in October or November. Keep an eye out.

PREMIERE: AceMo - A Dub 2 Toronto

La Fleur’s, Power Plant imprint returns this October with a remix package of the recently released ‘Aphelion’, featuring interpretations from Adeline, Chloe Caillet and EFFY. Since its inception in 2010 La Fleur’s, Power Plant imprint has embraced a quality over quantity approach, predominantly focusing on material from the label owner herself with remixes from the likes of Dana Ruh, Cassy and Ian Pooley, whilst a 5 years celebratory VA also welcomed Acid Mondays and Johanna Knutsson on to the imprint amongst others.  Here, we see La Fleur invite a selection of producers that she regards as "ones to watch" to join the Power Plant family and remix her track, ‘Aphelion’, originally released on the label back in March of this year. Taking the lead on remix duties is fellow Swedish producer and DJ, Adeline, a long time friend of the label-head, fresh off the back of an EP on Crosstown Rebels, the rising artist delivers a percussive led interpretation fuelled by fluttering synth chords, tension building atmospherics and robust drums.  Parisian, New York based Chloe Caillet, resident at Dixon’s Transmoderna parties, follows next with her take on ‘Aphelion’, employing a snaking bass groove, dynamic drums and dubbed out synth ebbing and flowing through the depths. E1, London resident EFFY then completes the package with her hypnotic workout driven by choppy synth stabs, bright chord sequences and swirling resonant effects. This set of remixes is part two of two, following a remix package of ‘Hunting Grounds’ featuring Man Power, Justin Massei and Viggo Dyst.

Romanian-born, Toronto-bred Simina Grigoriu has been steadily racking up accolades during her decade-long career. Starting off as a DJ, she’s made the transition as a producer and  kicked off own label Kuukou, a home for techno forward productions, where she calls all the shots. In this time she’s also transplanted to Berlin, a place she now calls home and the major source of her creative inspiration, a source as diverse as her influences.
Simina’s musical roots stem deep in her childhood when she studied classical violin and keyboard. Coupled with her parents’ musical legacy and her passion for Hip Hop freestyling as a teen, it encapsulates the foundation of her style, an avenue she continues to explore to this day.
Garnering on the exposure of Toronto’s clubs, where growing up, the likes of Jeff Mills, Josh Wink and Juan Atkins struck a chord, Simina’s style grew and developed constantly into the straightforward and uplifting techno she fronts today.
Her first productions came to light on the Berlin label Sonat Records, followed by releases with Phrase Insane Records in Spain, Italy’s Intelectro Vibe, Urban Sound and Frequenza Records. A debut album was sure to follow, as Exit City became one of Susumu Records’ highest chart toppers.
After a year long break, where she focused her efforts on motherhood while keeping an active studio schedule, Simina christens Kuukou Records in July 2016 with her inaugural EP “Techno Monkey’. Shortly after, she doles out “Matching Numbers” on Popof’s FORM, an immediate hit EP complete with a smashing remix by Julian Jeweil. She continues to release both on Kuukou as well as FORM while working on remixes and collaborations for numerous techno labels in parallel.
An active globetrotter, Simina’s constantly touring, having wowed crowds at festivals and venues all over the world so it’s no surprise the Techno chief named her label Kuukou (Japanese for airport). She has been pushing a steady row of releases from the likes of Torsten Kanzler, Alfred Heinrichs, Martin Books, Daniel Boon with premium artists as remix support.
Most recently 2017 has seen Simina embark on her yearly Asia tour, with highlights at Strawberry Festival and G-Festival, Elevator Shanghai and Beijing’s ultimate underground techno club “Lantern” - otherwise known as the Berghain of Beijing.
Safe to say the coming months will provide a plethora of amazing releases, performances and surprises from one of Techno’s most dynamic ladies.

Following releases on Involve Records, C O U P, ARTS Collective, Children of Tomorrow and Planet Rhythm, Italian duo Exilles provide a Guest Mix to showcase their sonic mission.

Exilles is a project born from the alchemy of two minds, united by a common desire to undermine, compose and recompose deep techno sounds with a mystical and enigmatic imagery. They strictly perform live, orchestrating ancestral ceremonies with analog machines and modular synthesizers, whose dark and hypnotic sounds chase the persistent in a synesthetic atmosphere.

A millennial stronghold, where space and time seem to crystallize. Exilles invites you to enter the wide entrance, built with thundorous, corrosive kick and neurotic sounds. Proceed to enter a maze of tunnels, stairs, niches that emerge from the hypnotic sounds from the floor and clinging on to it, little by little, airy and seductive melodies, inviting you to go even deeper.
And then that telluric rhythms became more tight and you find yourself trapped, breathless, paralyzed: a crypt, a man. The face covered with a mask. The sound waves become ink and pervade the body, helpless, wrapped in a dream synth tangle. The assertive kick back lashing his shots, with the ritual ending. The crossing to escape has finally opened.

This is the imagination of Exilles, which with its techno built around the polarity of light and darkness, black and white, continuously keeps us poised between opposites, between consciousness and raving.

6AM Guest Mix: Exilles

Sydney and Los Angeles based Classical Pianist/Composer Van-Anh Nguyen and
DJ/Drummer/Producer Mark Olsen blend their two worlds together to form a unique
dreamy mix of acoustic and electro sounds. Ranging from ambient soundscapes to
Melodic House, Double Touch brings their live musicianship deep into their creations.
Double Touch are official All Day I Dream artists with multiple releases and
performances at the All Day I Dream events around the world.Their shows are a
unique blend of a traditional DJ set and live performances, adding in live keys and
drums, improvising new directions into their music during their live sets. The synergy
and connection between the two is contagious from the stage.
After Lee Burridge played 3 Double Touch songs in his MIXLAB NYC set, Double
Touch emerged onto the scene in 2019 with their debut EP on All Day I Dream –
“Adagio” which took out the No.1 releases spot on Beatport (Electronica/Downtempo)
as well as appeared in the Top 100’s in other genres. Since then, they have released
everything from downtempo music on Buddha Bar, through to their club style on
TrybesOf.Their Chorophobia EP (TrybesOf) hit Top 5 (Melodic House/Techno) on
Beatport.Their debut single “Broken Paradise was also featured on a Ministry of Sound
compilation CD.
Double Touch have performed their DJ set with live instrumentation at events all
around the globe, including Return to Rio Festival 2019 (Australia), Cercle (Omnia
Indonesia), Golden Gate Park (San Francisco, USA), Cloud 9 (Fiji), Glow Rooftop
(Vietnam) and Omnia Bali (Indonesia).
With radio plays and support from artists such as Lee Burridge, Sebastien Leger,
RUFUS, Above & Beyond, Facundo Mohrr, Roy Rosenfeld, Guy Mantzur, and Nora en
Pure,Double Touch are off to a great start, with much more to come.
