Brian Lavoe- One More Time

Brian Lavoe is one of the most talented emerging artists in the world. Born in the Bronx borough of New York City and being of Puerto Rican descent, music and dance was no stranger to him. From the congas and keyboards played in Salsa to the bass drums and strings of Latin Freestyle, Brian learned to move his feet and express himself on a dance floor at an early age.  From a family who received an abundance of invitations to weddings, sweet 16’s, baby showers, and birthday parties with live bands and DJ’s,  Brian was a student of the art before most can tie their own shoe.      Brian Lavoe attended Middle and High School in the hamlet of Dobbs Ferry where he created a dance crew called “Flava Inc.” consisting of Owen Hill Jr., now a successful music producer, Thabo Ndimeni, and himself.  Flava Inc. rocked the school talent shows stage year after year performing songs by P. Diddy, Will Smith, and his idol, Usher.  It was while performing Usher's platinum selling single "Yeah,” Lavoe dreamed of one day creating his own music.  But not immediately did Brian have the opportunity to work on his craft.   A few heartbreaks, athletic disappointments, and impulsive decisions found him singing cadence and lifting weights in the United States Marine Corps. After serving a short term due to injury, Brian quickly realized it was now time to work on "Lavoe" and began taking vocal lessons.  Long-time friend and mentor Manny Singh, Owner of Flame Media Group, took Brian under his wing and started creating music in his bedroom studio setup.   On March 7, 2007, Brian Lavoe’s father passed away while recording a song titled “Dreams.”  After an unsuccessful run in the military, the family became very concerned with Lavoe’s future and considered making music a “pipe dream” and “living on fantasy land.”  However, he made a promise to his father shortly before his unexpected death: “I am going to make you proud one day, you watch.”    Brian Lavoe currently has independently released 2 songs which can be found on all the major digital music stores such as iTunes, Google play, Amazon, etc. titled “Come With Me” and “Looking For You.”
