Brian Lavoy Payne is an eclectic songwriter with musical influences from gospel to pop.  Growing up in the Arkansas delta close to Memphis, Payne listened to R & B, pop, and country.  He developed an appreciation for gospel songs by playing piano and singing in church.   Later he played keyboards and sang BGVs in  a country band during  and after college.  HIs songwriting reflects the diversity of his listening and playing experience.   The genres run the gamut.
