The End Of Summer

In La Primavera (Spring in spanish) the harp and cello dance of spring.  Together, they welcome us to join them.  Let's celebrate the power of the Sky (harp) to awaken the Earth (cello) to bring forth the abundance of the summer months.

As brings new life from darkness, the Summer takes hold with fiery energy.

As a mother gives to the lives of her children, so to does the Earth to the bounty of the summer.  With ultimate sacrifice, she holds up her creations  to the sky.  It is now up to us, as human, to harvest her bounty, and appreciate the wealth and abundance she has given us for the winter.  

Fall: The Ultimate gift

Now, we rest.  The peace and tranquillity of emptyness enters our beings, and we are guided, with ryhthmic melody, into a world of snow and ice.  The state, as essential as the rest, brings us in full circle, from the Spring, Summer, and Fall.   The seasons of the earth are us; we are the seasons.  We are not separate. We are all one being. 

Winter Sleep

Water: it is our essance, our very survival, our connection to each other and the Earth.The Water Song is a journey, falling first as rain from a cloudy sky, to the rivers, the waterfalls.Then, in the depth of the forest, the Water's soul-song is heard--listen, listen carefully to it's heart beat. The water, in it's cycle of rebirth, now flows home to the ocean, transforming into mist to float back to the sky.

I wrote this song when I was I was transitioning out of being a student and student leader. The song speaks to the endless possibilities that reach out in front of me. My education and the profound learning experience from the community at my University have given me so much. The song is a way of thanking everyone who helped me along the way--my parents and family, my teachers, my friends--and singing about my new awareness of what my future provides for me. It is just the begining of my journey into being all i can be.
