so every now and then i hear a song that hits me right in the feels, makes me feel like butterflies and sunsets and lonely bars, and this was one of them. i was simultaneously in love and also furious that I didn't write this song, so i was incredibly psyched to work on the remix - it reminded me how fun and awesome making music can be. it's one of the most emotional and moving dance tracks I've heard in awhile, so I tried to honor that and still put my own twist on it. much love to mako, those guys are brilliant, so go follow them and check them out if you haven't already. so whenever i make a remix, i always have to figure out how to build around the original - in this particular case, nathan has PIPES from the heavens, so it was a get the fuck out of the way and let his voice shine kind of situation. he's got this incredible sam smith kind of vibe, so it was a blast working on this tune - i love me a good emotional ballad, and really proud of how this one came out, ENJOY!!!

With a background in music that really only included 3 subpar years of playing the trumpet in middle school band, it became abundantly clear that Brian was never destined to create great music himself. However: with an ear for all things beautiful, stimulating, catchy, etc, Brian has established himself as one of the premier music listeners of his time. Growing up without cable television, Brian spent many an hour listening to old cds, records, tapes, and even the radio. This has led to a pioneering, cross-genre taste in all things music. Whether it is classic rock, rock & roll, folk, country, rap, hip-hop, pop, house, techno, electro, chillwave, etc, if it is good, Brian will listen to it. The belief that well written music, regardless of the genre, can brighten a day is certainly a fact, just ask science. Some of the most notable influences from a young age include James Taylor, The Eagles, Kenny G, The Red Hot Chili Peppers among others. Since going to college and experiencing the rise of electronic dance music Brian has become a huge proponent of the likes of The Chainsmokers, Audien, Chromeo, Goldroom, and really anything that can be described as moving. Brian hosted numerous radio shows on the college internet radio station, educating the masses on all things great music, picking certain artists and genres to highlight and interview. While he loves dance music, he listens to lots of Peter Wise, Drake, many different Indie bands, and on a warm summer day on the lake, really great country music.
