My silent passenger,
on-board but not
on-hand,
none
to save me
from these depths.

Even close up
the rain obscures
the tallest of buildings.
Changing trains,
I wave to statues
setting off to deserts.

We breathe a colourless
gaseous concoction.
Our eyes evolved
to live at depth.
Here under
atmosphere.

Nearly at work….
I hope my mettle
is up-standing enough.
To bend when it should,
not break under pressure.

Before lights go out
I’m on heading,
home again.

Love just a veil,
rain coming down.
Frequent heavy showers,
and cloud today.

After the sun
went down.
My ship stopped.
Finally.
Now at crush
depth.

Why I can’t
figure it out.

I’ll never…
Fathom you,
and your Nautilus.

Shall I try
to swim
out of my head.
Into your depths
I dream of sinking,
motionless.

To be still,
emptied of oxygen.

Instead I float away
in the silent waters,
in your wake.

Now washed up.
Ashore again,
I hear the warble
in the shells.
Of all these
moments beached with me.

Rust in our blood

Spinning the symbol says loading…
How much life is now on cursor.
She shared another dream.
Her true self slipped in between
these video streams.

None saw the tears,
first rivulets then rushing.
Through the rusted locks,
too salty in sobriety;
snapping open orange,
then dripping blood at the seams.

Trust decrypted her back arching;
A mother’s distant hand holding her down.

No boy you don’t get to drive,
she was amused and then.
Her cat curiosity found you cute.
No, not a lover boy,
none in passivity ever win her lockets.
You fail to impress
on her blue velvet tales.

She journeyed in places,
your poor visions quiver and fade.

A permanent resident of the doldrums,
your deep southern land depressions
just don’t appeal to that kind of traveller.
Go West boy…where the rust rises
on road sign and tree root.

Would you bring her to a desert land?
And then what? You never could trim feathers,
stunned at the beauty of every swan.
Left in wonder again, your feet taking root
while she is sky high.

Far beyond the horizon,
of you she remembers only rain.
In the ages to come,
you will rust into stillness.
Earth’s red lines, morning mists
being the last taste you had of passion.
Sunset brings a blood rain.

Lady of the moon
sets aside sunset
Like an empress
from Neverland.

Sunset concludes
what Dusk consumes.

A littoral in the sky
cirrus like tattoos
On Day’s edges
ripples on a flower

Then comes the rain…
After five days
flecked clouds like this
Green nimbus accumulate
like eyes on a yellow Sphinx
Gold to the Sun’s goodbye
to you.

Down comes
the Night’s rain
Down on my knees
“Oh god I miss you”

Dream-catcher…
Whose aesthetic
includes the Day’s sun

Who knows better
when it comes to you?
Your cats eyes reflect
you better than any of us

How could any
know such a soul?
Out here...who ever could?

Alive to this

What Created Those Threads - Parts 1 & 2

In a pulse of steam.

No sleep.
Cold shock…tonight.
I shiver in my metal bone-yard.

You called me crazy when I asked you too. Is that how I know it to be true?

Can’t fly to you…no ticket to that horizon.
When not dreaming…I unREM...eyes shutter open.
Ah...I feel rust…so bites reality.

I offer up mist and moments. When you might want now and never.
You’re way wiser and don’t fall for it all…while I fall arms free.

Don’t go.
Plan distant holidays in my rusted head.
I ask…do you?

On a horse trail in hills sight unseen. It might never come to that pass. Helicopter lols…not with me?

Still it sends shivers. Killed my crazy with a dream.
I will live it out anyway...exposed to the elements.

You lit the cold dead ashes at my core. This machine heart filled with steam again… and began to move.

Bye to orange crusted shell.
Steam punk revival…tears of oil from metal eyes.
I raise from this cold slumber.

This new momentum will move me out silently into solitary...
from a home that was never my home. It was theirs.

No matter:
you freed me.
Dank imagery...blinds lifted.

Now I know this rareified thing called 'life' as you do: You freed me from all that fades the soul. Now the only insight...in my mind, is finally clear.

So empty.
AFK MMO’d-out now.
IRL my heart turns to slivers.
My silvered heart leaking hyrdocarbons
All this black liquid.

No matter what happens, I shiver to life. Risk paper cuts and cold hands, that none will ever hold. At first feeble...this freedom I owe to you.

Still no dreams.
Sleep eludes these tired eyes.
Feet numb…ear pods in.

I love that you made me turn blue. Moment by moment I have begun…again…learnt to listen again.

I am a token no more.
This rusted machine awkard though alive:
shakey on the move once more.
