my lovely mum writes letters to me every year on my birthday. i wrote this song when having a bit of a menty breakdown and i was re-reading all of the letters mum wrote me, which got me thinking about how different we become as we age. i wrote this song when i was seventeen so it’s a bit of a different style to how i write now but i still wanted to share it with you all. huge shoutout to Joseph Sutherlands legendary harmonics on the bass and Jamie Hutchinson sick cover art!! And of course my mum for writing me letters ❤️
