This track RULES!! I just found it in the furnace tracker demos, I wasn't sure at first if it was worth it to put the time in to learn this program but this song 100% sold me on the idea

Bubba 'n' Stix is an Amiga (and Genesis) game that i've never played, but the soundtrack for the Amiga version is pretty good. The Genesis version has it's own soundtrack that while still good, is a little worse than the Amiga MOD soundtrack.

This track is one of my favorite songs in the OST, so I decided to make a cover of it. Hope you enjoy.

Part 2 (Bubba 'n' Stix)

A couple weeks ago a chord progression made me think of something, which I realized was actually the bass from the last part of Strike Battle (except I was actually thinking of Mania's Metal Sonic fight). That indirectly led me down the road of looking into Corrupted again, which directly led to me making this. 

Someone said on another track from XC that the song sounded like something from Sonic, so I thought to do something with it and Genny. I already had a sequence of Strike Battle from years ago that I could reference, so I did a cover of that first.
Ended up creating a bunch of cool Genny patches-- by accident, as usual. Stumbling into what became the first bass was awesome. I think that was the first time I've ever said "that sounds GREAT" out loud about something I was working on.
I seem to have learned how to manage voices a bit better because I finished all the important parts and then did the shit you forget about last. Like the countermelody during the A section was the last thing I added because I figured out a way I could pull it off.

I couldn't find any fucking sprite sheets for this guy. I had to redraw a shittily scaled-up sprite from scratch. BTW, it was that shit where some pixels are 2x2 while others are 3x3 *plays that clip from Halloween Town of Luke in the theater* and still others are 2x3. On the bright side though, it made me appreciate the quality of the sprite.

MMX Corrupted: Strike Battle (SEGA Cover)

SNES cover of the GBA Bionicle Heroes's first level. 
I started making sheet music (https://musescore.com/user/19512716/scores/9429106) at the end of the year, using the S3M file for reference. Then I started making a MIDI... also using the S3M file instead of the sheet. At the end of transcribing/drafting it, I did a Ctrl+N and started making this. 

I still have yet to go back and finalize the MIDI version. That was around the 13th. That's when I uploaded this, also. I just never went public with it, thinking I was actually going to work on it a bit more. Who knows? Maybe I will, but that'll probably be around when I go to finish the MIDI version, finally.

I couldn't find an EP sound I was happy with, so I went to the trouble of downsizing the DYNOLEAD sample from the actual thing and bringing it into C700. The choices for every other sound I was happy with.
I was very meticulous with the note velocities for the EP's notes. I wanted to make sure that was absolutely right - mostly for accuracy's sake.

The whole point of making this a SNES cover in particular is directly inspired by how Tom's seq' files only used 8 voices - EVER. That, plus a playback error with a mirror for Zaktan's Temple on YouTube, makes me wonder if the music in-game is still running sequences after all, or if it's streamed like I've believed for the past 4 years.

Ring of Ice (C700 Cover)

A chiptune composition inspired by "Hyper Zone" Kirby's Dream Land 3. I thought of a battle taking place in a dark void, fighting a wicked, surreally shaped, and powerful entity.

Made with Furnace Tracker, using two chips:
-Yamaha YM2414 (OPZ), the chip used in Yamaha's TX81Z
-tildearrow Sound Unit, a fantasy chip of tildearrow's Furnace Tracker

After just beating the original Final Fantasy for the NES, this is a song that stood out to me a lot. Guess I'm a sucker for NES staccato intros (see: Snake Man). My cover plays out for the first loop pretty faithfully to the original, then by the second round I have fun with it. :>
