The journey through sound continues as I was orienting on a sound with more volume towards the end of the set. As it always goes I gues.

After visiting some festivals I stumbled upon a new sound to me. This warm bass, but umtempo sound inspired me to record a more uptempo set. It is stuffed with electro, techno and breakbeat tracks. A sound I aspire to push more forward.

Brickbeat 01 - a new path of sound

Recently I've been searching through Techno to find my way in this genre. My main focus is always on a warm bass and groovey sounds, making Techno a difficult genre. However, after some A5 inspiration I've found this groovey subgenre, complementing everything I'm looking for in a Groovey Techno Beat. Hence the title, "Let's Groove" - Hope y'all enjoy!

Inspired by the DJ contest for Boogie House Festival I started mixing some UK Garage, Minimal House and Tech House. The set comes down to a combination of floating tracks, mixed with some groovey beat. Just enough to keep a light vibe, but also get the crowd dancing. Hope y'all enjoy!

For a contest at Wildeburg I recorded this set in on a chil sunday afternoon. Was aiming for uplifting vibes with a groovey pumpy sound to get everyone dancing. Hope y'all enjoy!

Made this set as a proper representation of my sound in the Groovey Tech House genre. Mixing steady at 136 BPM, creating breaks in transitions, to facilitate clean drops to get the dancefloor going. Hope y'all enjoy!

Fueled with the night's energy, I made this set during an afterparty improvisation. Bringing the turntables to the salon created a cosy theater like atmosphere. Allowing me to play around at lower BPM's to complement the vibe of the room. Bringing down the energy, for a slow and steady 3 hours build through anything UK or Minimal.

Made this House set as a representation of my current repetoire in Tech House. Combining the funky karakter of minimal as an introduction, leading up to the more grimey bass of Tech House. Perfect way of driving a House evening with a warm bass and funky toplines. Steady ez pace at 132-135 to drive the dancefloor. Hope y'all enjoy!

After getting a Sunday morning call requesting DJ's at my friends House Party, I decided to bring some groove to the aftermath of her birthday party. Aiming on picking up the room, I started the set off nice and chill with some Minimal & UK House. As the set progressed , so does the pace with some raw basslines from my latest underground Tech House picks. All in all a progressive set full of groove. Hope y'all enjoy!

Mick'stape 2 - Bedroom Bass House

Enthused by party's and clubs, I started mixing as a creative outlet. Most of my mixes entail music with groovey sounds and a good bass. Having my origin of taste in music coming from hiphop and soul, I love the kicks and drums combined with lyrical breaks. 

Through the years I've played different sorts of house music. My journey took me through big beat, minimal house, UK garage, Tech House and eventually Hard House, Hardgroove & Techno. Everything in the spectrum of kicks and drums with a good groove. 

My vision is that music has to be a boost of happy emotions. Therefore, the music I play has to have a certain warmth to it, so everyone can be full of joy and in for a good time!
