Lets Move

The Bridge DA Gap Curriculum is taught via the Bridge DA Gap 1st Edition Textbook. The textbook was creatively and artistically designed in order to capture the attention of the students. It is filled with vital information, short stories and interactive questions to excite and engage students in the learning process. The textbook has twelve chapters that focus on twelve key character traits needed to be successful in life. Each chapter is accompanied by a song, which correlates with the character trait being taught in the textbook. Each chapter also contains: a) an overview which tells the students why the character trait is important; b) the solution which gives the students the blueprint of how to apply the character trait in their lives; and c) a story that provides a real life example of a current situation that students may face in their lives and further reinforces the character trait learned in the chapter. 
The textbook is supported by a twelve to nineteen week action-packed curriculum that will keep the students excited and involved in the educational process. Each teacher's pack is complete with a curriculum overview; a teacher's manual; daily lesson plans for each week' worksheets' over-head transparencies; an instructional DVD and other collateral material. The DVD will be played in 5-minute segments every Monday and Wednesday of the week. Grammy-nominated Kevin "KHAO" Cates and Actress Meagan Good will introduce each chapter and its character trait on Monday; define the character trait and review the solution on Wednesday.
There is also an interactive website where students and teachers can chat with KHAO and other teachers and students in the Bridge DA Gap program. The website will be a place to share ideas, reinforce character traits and foster the growth and development of the Bridge DA Gap Movement so that its message can be shared with young people around the world.
