We all have our own nightmares. Some we can control, but some are inevitable. This song is about conquering those fears in whichever shape they come.

I was relatively happy as a kid, but at some point, the filter slowly burned off, suddenly Halloween and birthdays didn't mean anything to me and growing up closeted weighed on me more with each passing day. I became depressed after a while of living a fake life...

Once I came out, started loving myself and those around me, I became happier, and realized how important it is to accept and work on yourself.

Also, when I was growing up, I used to have NIGHTMARES and promptly RAN to my parent's bedroom for comfort almost every night. It was ongoing until I was closer to my teen years. I was always afraid of falling asleep. What was nice about that is it made me appreciate the days more.
