In This I Believe

Yesterday, my husband lost his 91-year-old grandmother, Ada.  This happened against the backdrop of the shifting political landscape in this country.  Such changes are hard and bring up a lot of emotion. I sat down and this song came flowing out of me.  It's recorded on my phone and a bit out of my range.  In other words, it's imperfect, just like me, but it is what I have to offer.  I've been writing music for a few years now, ever since my husband asked me to marry him, but I've been timid in sharing it.  But I am learning the importance of writing (music, blogs, poetry) and an essential part of writing is sharing so it can reach others.  If you listen, I hope you enjoy, imperfections and all.
