This is the first draft of one of the scene changes in the Paganini ballet. By now, Paganini is under the Devil's spell and the sound of violin music very much fills the air of Paris. The percussive rhythms in the scene changes illustrate the Industrial Revolution that was occurring in the 19th Century.
