12 By the Ice by the Sea

The closing track on my last album, Mystērium is one of my favorites. It's hard to say where I was going with it, other than that it was something of an exploration in terms of sonic territory. A sort of wandering through the landscape of fragmented, collapsing and reorganizing landscapes. I don't fancy myself a particularly good composer. But there was a thoughtful chaos in the writing of this piece, which despite its blaring technical imperfections, I think speaks with a certain honesty and emotion.

I am a producer, composer, songwriter, and vocalist based in the Bay Area, CA. I love the combination of the creativity of writing and composing music and the technical aspects of recording, editing, and mixing. 

I have always had a home studio in some form, from recording demos on 4-track cassette recorders to eventually a Pro Tools/Mbox system. I am a self taught improvisational piano and guitar player as well as a vocalist and have produced/ released 3 acoustic Folk-Nouveau records under the artist name Brindl.

Recent projects include meditation music (SOMA), electronic-acoustic ambient music (Virga), and working on composing projects for podcasts and tv/film. (see more under projects.) I am especially passionate about working with women artists and supporting women in the audio/music industry. Feel free to reach out and tell me about what projects you are working on!
