Rain, Water and Life 

(III) Life - The rain as water brings "(III) Life".

To the south of my city of Dublin are the Wicklow Mountains onto which the rain falls "(I) Rain". The mountains are like giant cupped hands that receive the water and hold it in lakes, and it fills the lakes through rivulets, streams and rivers. "(II) Water". Two of Dublin's Rivers come from this source and all the drinking water for two million people. The rain as water brings "(III) Life". The water for all the food growing in the plains and all the flowers and trees comes from these sources too.

The three movements are
(i) Rain
(ii) Water
(iii) Life

This recording was made by the Galan Trio of Petros Bouras - piano, Dimitra Triantafyllou - violin and Marina Kolovou - cello, Babis Karasavvidis. Playing Flute with them on this recording is Zacharias Tarpagkos.  The recording has been made possible by these wonderful musicians and Three Essential Elements (https://three-essential-elements.org/). It will be officially released by Neuma Records on the album EMBRACE  in March 2025.

but made of light and shadow,
of rain that falls upward,
of waves that whisper your name.

And somewhere ahead,
a figure walks, luminous against the horizon —

Shadows dance with light as two eternal companions.

An ocean where you can drown without fear, without touching the water.

9. Prelude in the Shape of Wind
Invisible hands carve paths no one can follow.

10. Prelude in Broken Ivory
Keys with cracks where stories live.

11. Prelude to the Last Star
A fire in the sky that burns only while someone is watching.

12. Prelude in the Language of Waves
The waves whisper words that cannot be translated.

13. Prelude for the Unreturning Path
A path that leads into the light, leaving no trace behind.

14. Prelude for a Luminous Memory
A memory that warms, even when the world has gone cold.

15. Prelude Beneath the Glass Horizon
The horizon lies under your feet, glimmering like water.

16. Prelude in the Feathered Light
Light drifts like feathers, carrying the weight of silence.


Epilogue

You do not arrive at a place.
You arrive at a self
you did not know you had been searching for.

The luminous figure ahead
turns to face you —
and you see it has your eyes,
your hands,
your voice when you speak in dreams.

The path behind you is already gone,
swallowed by light.
You are both the wanderer and the home.

And the sea,
the wind,
the bells in the distance —
all of them play your name,
until there is no name left,
only music.

Man Night Music is a record label and production entity founded by American songwriter, producer, composer, and instrumentalist Derek Mount.  Mount has written and played on an impressive palette of art, including significant releases in pop, rock, indie, funk, hip-hop, orchestral music, electronic music, and more.

As a songwriter, Derek has co-written eight number-one hits and fifteen top-ten songs across various radio formats.  He has also released three albums under the moniker of his dynamic compositional project, Brique a Braq.  Mount's songs have been used in feature films (NBCUniversal, Lionsgate), commercials (Nokia, Target), television programs (CMT, MTV, VH1), retail stores (Journey's, Forever XXI), sporting events (ESPN, WWE, NHL, CBS, etc.), corporate presentations (BMW, Wells Fargo, KCRW), and much more. Propelled by an ambitious work ethic, he has scored several independent film projects from tour buses, hotel lobbies, and studios around the world, including a recent collaboration with partner Riley Friesen on several custom soundtrack pieces for RGH Entertainment's animated feature film "Postman Pat: The Movie."    

He performed eleven-and-a-half years as the bombastic, multifaceted guitarist and background vocalist for the electro-dance-infused rock band Family Force 5. The group has performed thousands of shows worldwide, including appearances at some of the world's most prestigious tours and festivals (Sonisphere, Bamboozle, Warped Tour US & UK, AP Tour, etc.).  FF5 has sold several hundred thousand albums to-date, charted over forty million collective YouTube views, and garnered considerable recognition in the press (Rolling Stone, Billboard, Spin, Pollstar, AP Magazine's Live Band of the Year, Yahoo's "Who's Next," etc.).

In August of 2017, Mount collaborated with producer Philip Zach to create "Versailles," the debut album from their adventurous new project, Juno Kids.  The duo forged the minimalistic record using only one analog synthesizer, and are quickly cultivating a following in the IDM/synthwave scene.

Derek plays guitar at various local churches, and he also teaches online guitar lessons to aspiring students spanning the globe. Mount lives with his wife Sarah, and is a passionate fan of football, basketball, podcasts, grilling, and patterned socks.
