The third installment of the Bad Colours remix series, BRISA takes the disco train all the way from New York to Fukuoka with this funky flip of the 2020 hit single, "Cookin'." From the original's hip house heater energy, BRISA swaps deep house bass and synth lines for bright, shimmering guitars in all their 70s syncopated glory - channeling some major Nile Rogers energy. New percussion lines keep the energy of the original track, albeit something more ready for a beach party than a basement rave. Summer is here, let's get the party cookin'!

Italy-based DJ/producer Turbojazz is finally arriving with his first solo album and it will be called 'Whateverism'. The record moves between modern soul, jazz, house, broken beat, and other electronic influences, all blended together with his own personal touch as the outcome. The album will be released via his own imprint Last Forever Records.

We're happy to host BRISA as the next guest of our famous Apparel Radio Show. Based in Fukuoka Japan, DJ/producer BRISA started his career in 1997 after being strongly influenced by acid jazz and house music in the 1990s. He started producing his own music in 2004 and has since released music worldwide, including in Japan, the UK, the US, Germany, France, and Italy.

Special remix collaboration from two of Bastard Jazz's brightest upcoming international artists, Kumail from Mumbai and BRISA from Fukuoka come together for a very special cross Asia remix. BRISA takes the original lo-fi longing vibe of Kumail's "Kkwy" and bumps up the tempo and brings in an element of future funk, with a bubbling bassline, arpeggiating synths and big drums blending into Kumail's ghostly vocals and special vibe. This release sets the stage for the worldwide vinyl release of Kumail's album "Yasmin", dropping in late April.
