Reggae Roast today release their eagerly awaited debut album ‘Turn Up The Heat’ via Trojan Records newest label imprint Trojan Reloaded. The release of ‘Turn Up The Heat’ marks a new era for reggae through reimagining the roots of the sound in a way that makes it accessible for the streaming era. Listen to ‘Turn Up The Heat’, here. 

The album follows a series of singles which have been released off the record in the form of ‘Never B4’ featuring Mr Williamz, ‘Do It Again’ featuring Horseman and Natty Campbell as well as the most recent drop ‘Good Love’ alongside the inimitable General Levy. 

Having become a mainstay in the reggae scene, the album features an array of incredible artists all of whom are long time friends and collaborators of Reggae Roast which collectively creates a sound that has so much musical variation all whilst simultaneously marrying together to form a body of work and bold array of sounds all of which fuse together seamlessly.

A music collective that continues to push boundaries whilst simultaneously keeping the spirit of the genre alive, ‘Turn Up The Heat’ exemplifies Reggae Roast’s skilled musical craftsmanship in working with both new-gen artists and legends from the scene to create a sound that is both new and classic.

During such trying times, ‘Turn Up The Heat’ brings a burst of sunshine through its tropical reggae sounds underpinned by beats that encompass real reggae grit. With reggae often lauded for its music boasting such positivity and optimism, the new album is destined to add warmth to people’s playlists and radio waves marking the start of summer.

Reggae Roast is a sound system collective based in London. They have been running events at venues and festivals across the UK for over a decade and built their custom built sound system in 2015, in order to bring the sound to the people. Along the way partnering with an array of incredible talent the album is a collaboration project featuring some of their favourite artists.
