A song, originally inspired by "Breaking All Illusions" - Dream Theater; it ended up nothing like it. It has a very Celtic feel to it, in my opinion at least. Probably my favorite thing I've written, especially the chord progressions during the triplets in 7.

Highlands

A very experimental piece for me. I decided on a very heavy feel. It ended up slightly repetitive, but I got some creepy and cool stuff imo, so I'm happy with it.

Prophecies

A ballsy song, as the name would suggest. Based around a 5/4 groove.

Cajones

I wanted to start a piece with a pad, just to try it. I really ended up liking this by the end. It has a good variety of sounds, even ending up almost poppy at one point. Enjoy.

PS: It's quieter than the others for some reason, I don't know why. 

Ambience

A new one I wrote over the last week. Wanted to throw in a little bit of harmonic minor love, plus a weird mid-section a la Haken. Really love the ending on this one. Enjoy!

Insomnia

Named after the night the slow final section was written, this song was worked on very occasionally within the last month or so. I had writers block following the ritardando until the night of graduation. After playing graduation with the band, I went home and was hit by the final riff. It's my first fade-out ending (which I usually see as cop-outs); I just couldn't 1-up that riff.

Graduation

Calculation is named after its conception; I had two different ideas -- the pad intro and the chugging part in | 7/8 | 4/4 | later on. When I realized the part after the pad had a similar feel to the chugging part and a calculable time change, I knew a combination would be great. Going from triplet-feel at 130bpm to duples at 100bpm, the change is jarring, yet feels somewhat right. Enjoy!

Calculation

I'm just another teenager spilling my life out into the music I love. I will be uploading pieces composed in Guitar Pro 6, and played through their RSS. I may later upload me playing things (I play guitar and saxophone as my main instruments..) My main influences are Dream Theater and Haken, but I love all types of progressive music, and most jazz.
