Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Series 4 - Episode 2 (Garden)

Series 4, Episode 3 (Washing Up): Paul F. Tompkins and Elis James join Pappy's at the Soho Theatre in a very fun episode indeed! In it Paul shows off an unexpected British accent, Elis reveals his underwhelming impersonation skills, Ben uses the word Flibbertigibbet, Tom exposes his uncanny inability to rhyme and Matthew becomes a one-man jukebox (for a minute or two and then stops). The beef confusingly comes from a man called Laurie and is about a woman called Ron.

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Series 4 - Episode 3 (Washing Up)

Series 4, Episode 4 (Hoover): Andi Osho and Matt Edmonson join Pappy's for the last episode in the series, recorded at the Phoenix Fringe festival! Within it you will find Matthew ripping off a much more famous panel game, Tom and Ben musically ripping off one of the most important rock bands ever, Matt ripping off his clothes (in story form) and Andi almost having her hair ripped off. We can't extend the 'ripping off' analogy as far as the beef, which involves a cat.

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Series 4 - Episode 4 (Hoover)

In the fourth Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown the boys play host to Helen, Olly and Martin from the award-winning Answer Me This podcast - and everyone is fighting to avoid having to find and kill a mouse that has been terrorising the flat. Along the way Ben reveals his elephantine origins, Tom discovers the ideal time of day to listen to the Flat Olympics round (this week: Marathon and Triple Jump) and Matthew is upstaged by a riddling rhyming rodent. Also Olly gets angry with the audience for no reason and Helen takes beef brothers quite seriously - attempting to offer genuine advice. And this weeks Beef-er Claire deserves a high five for persevering with us despite not being able to hear everything that's going on and consequently being erroneously labelled 'a little bit racist' (she's on the phone from Birmingham - that's right, we've gone technology crazy). The beef is a cracker - all about noisy eating.

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Episode 4 (Mouse)

The final Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown is aptly rubbish-themed and there are so many questions: Who is going to take out the bins? Who out of Tom and Ben is going to be crowned the series champion? What is the right way to eat a scotch egg? Will anyone be quite as drunk as Rufus Hound was in the last episode? In the show Tom and his guest Matt Forde finish off the jamboree with their Oasis tribute act, Ben picks up a ranting Robin Ince in the pub and is forced to bring him back to the flat and Matthew makes an appearance in an unusual place - speaking of which it is also worth mentioning that the stings really do bow out on a high note. Plus - Bin line-up, the Real Ale Relay and the aforementioned egg based puzzler from someone calling themselves Wowser.

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Episode 6 (Rubbish)

Jon Richardson and Bridget Christie join Pappy's for the first episode of a brand new series. And this must be our most competitive show yet with Jon and Bridget's brooding rivalry boiling over several times. As it is themed around lightbulbs, naturally the show contains elements of German singing, ghosts and errant cyclists (and thanks to Abby for the beef). So... A new series... What's refreshingly new? What's lazily the same? Bits and lots are the answers almost certainly in that order. If you want to support the show please talk about it!

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Series 2 - Episode 4 (Thermostat)

Norman Lovett and Cariad Lloyd join the boys for the final #flatslam in the series - and it is a bumper-length fight over who is going to clean the flat windows. While Cariad gives us some very sensible glass-buffing tips, Norman goes off on one talking about 'The Big Bang Theory'. Worse is to come when he reveals he isn't a fan of puns - how will he cope with the next fifty minutes? Elsewhere in the show, Ben indicates how little he cares about winning, Tom is confused by vinegar and Matthew loses control. Plus a big shout to brave Beef Brothers complainee James who endures the collapse of his case with stoicism and by throwing in the towel before it has even got started.

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Series 2 - Episode 6 (Window)

David O'Doherty and Celia Pacquola are the houseguests for the first in a new (mini) series recorded at the Pleasance during the Edinburgh Fringe 2012. And this battle over who is going to mend the internet router is properly falling off the bone. Whilst David lectures us on squash and Matthew uses the phrase 'pussy-blocker' to everyone's consternation, Celia somehow manages to out-wrong Tom with a story about a frog. Plus, we discover Ben's one skill. Thanks to Fiona for her smelly beef. Also huge thanks to Lawrence Dodgson (@larrybusiness) for his excellent illustration.

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Series 3 - Episode 1 (Internet)

Tim Vine and Claudia O'Doherty join Pappy's for a shed-based second episode recorded at the Pleasance during the Edinburgh Fringe 2012. In it... Claudia shocks and arouses Tom and Ben with her opening gambit, Tim tries not to worry about grotting and Matthew tries not to ruin any more than one of Tim's punchlines. **Warning: approach this show with caution if you are afraid of puns** Thanks to Luke for his Feng Shui-based Beef, and to Pei Yen (@_peiyen) for her brilliant illustration.

Pappy's Flatshare Slamdown - Series 3 - Episode 2 (Shed)

Rhys Darby and Jason Byrne come to Pappy's flat to fight over who is going to defrost the freezer. Recorded at the Pleasance during the Edinburgh Fringe 2012, this episode has it all... Tom delivering a true 'festival moment', Ben telling an awful anecdote, Jason's truly unforgettable impersonation of a famous pacifist, Rhys suggesting they all play a game of 'Escape From Cold Tits' and Matthew revealing that he doesn't like ice in his bottom.
