This is a demo/preview of my new song No Use for a Name produced by Dan Harris. 
It is apart of my new project "Prose and Conscience", an upcoming EP featuring Nina Allen and other musicians from the Pioneer Valley/Western Massachusetts.
This song takes a stance against the educational system in America suggesting we are merely products of a factory mentality and are pushed through a system meant to distract us from what is actually worth learning. I question whether the educational system prepares us to become functional members of society or mindless citizens who follow the herd and do as they're told. This is my opinion.

Almost two years ago I was working at a job I hated and vowed to remove myself from such a toxic workplace. I was drowning in the negative energy of coworkers who hated their lives, but chose to remain stagnant. The children I worked with were amazing, but the staff were so miserable. I felt genuinely ignored, unaccepted, and totally isolated. I also felt bad for these people, but resented them for making me question my ability to live happily and thrive. “PROMISES” is the result of this realization. Nothing is worth feeling isolated. We all need community. Without it, it becomes so much harder to survive. And that’s all we are doing in toxic environments, just surviving. I want to live to my fullest potential, not just survive, and I encourage others to do the same.
