this is a mix I did of some classic soul tracks that I did during on the first lock down to brighten up my day, there is an air of political unrest & confusion through out my choices that I didn't realise at the time was very much a symbol of the confusion being felt all over the world during those time!! universal consciousness at work!!! Anyway I hope someone hears this & enjoys it as much as I enjoy these tunes.

lo-fi remix of amazing Alicia Keys track, it was supposed to be for a contest on splice but i was about a month too late, I really enjoyed doing the remix so i thought i would still post it here. I didn't make any radical changes to the arrangement or the vocals, tried to bring out the weird where possible & added a hip hop beat & some trippy echo. I hope you enjoy my acid test remix

This is a two hour mix that I did earlier in the year for another website, which for whatever reason didn't get posted! I thought the mix was pretty good so I have decided to add it to the BA page as I am about to shut down the Brkn Arrw Rebel Radio page. 

The mix features a few tracks from other BARR mixtapes but I think it gives a pretty good picture of some of my favourite music & the influences that have become part of the Brkn Arrw sound.

brkn arrw - Pronounced broken arrow: is the music that I have been making music for a few years in my homemade studio in a village called Ardrishaig on the West coast of Scotland, I mostly make trip hop mellow tunes that have a nod to early ambient stuff like the Orb, the KLF, Pete Namlock, Banco De Gaia & the Ambient Dub compilations from the early 90's as well as DJ Shadow/Unkle/MoWax, Massive Attack, Tricky, Leftfield, Air & Daft Punk's mellower moments but filtered through the influences of modern musicians & producers like Kanye, Pharrell, Rick Rubin, Francis & the Lights, Kid Cudi, Cashmere Cat, Banks/SOHN, MK, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Maribou State, Run the Jewels, Velvet Negroni,  Buck 65, Queens of the Stoneage, Jack White & my two greatest influences Neil Young & George Clinton.
