CIRCLE

Goliath, released independently through Omega Code's web site as a part of the Ω Ep - circa 2008. Written by Marcelo Baldin, J. Monaco and Lucas Baldin.
Omega Code is a brazilian post-metal / experimental band. Headed by Marcelo Baldin (AKA Combustion), it is one of most promising band I've ever seen/heard in my whole life and one of the projects which i'm the most proud i was a part of.
By the time Ω was released the band's line-up consisted in Danny "Bullet" Kopecky on vocals, Marcelo Baldin on guitars, synths and programming, Lucas Baldin on Bass and background vocals and I.This EP was compilation of songs we had written along several years and it was the first Omega Code's official release.
Highly influenced by bands like A Perfect Circle, NIN, Tool, Fear Factory, Porcupine Tree among a huge list of monsters of contemporary rock and it's ramifications, Omega Code's work is full of astonishing textures and other features carefully placed by Combustion, creating an IDM environment for the songs to unfold. Boldly, the band's work speaks out for itself.

A personal note on this piece of work:
I believe most of the people have, or had once in a life time, that high school sweetheart and for musicians i think this rule also applies to that band formed by their best friends during teenage-hood / high school years. So this was my dream band, a milestone for me. Not only because it was the band I played with for almost 10 years, but for the team that was packed so tight it's remembrance still gives me the chills. Omega Code is still an unraveling and rich experience for me, coming close to something so spiritual I can almost revive one of the most incredible times of my life every time I hear it.=D

Goliath

This song was previously released in Underfunk's Vol.1 and Vol.2 EPs, both in 2005. By the time the band sounded a little more like a funk rock, with a bit more aggressive percussion tracks. Otherwise, it got a whole lot more soulful by 2007, when Famiglia Rock'n'Soul dvd was produced. 
This track was recorded at Havaí 70 Studios, São Paulo, Brasil. It was written by Renato Galozzi, Henrique Segamarchi and I; mixed by mr. Mauro Chevis. =)

The band's line-up for this session was Renato Galozzi, Henrique Segamarchi, J.Monaco, Guga Machado and Renato Ordonez.
