Segment Nine

I set myself a real challenge to compose something completely different from my usual music. I wasn't sure 8 minutes qualified as a "symphony" but apparently the world's shortest symphony (Michael Wolters’ Spring Symphony: The Joy of Life) is just 17 seconds so I guess it's okay :) 

I learnt a lot of new things on this journey and even the mixing and mastering was different from my normal genres. If you are kind enough to last the whole 8 minutes, you have my sincere thanks.

"Nuff Said" challenges our inner demons. Don't let them drag you down, cause you deserve better. Starting with a catchy riff, we bring you back to good old 2000s nu metal and spiced it up with modern elements. I wrote the instrumental and the hook, Brett Anthony did the rap part and Ampersandman contributed his guitar and bass work to raise the roof. This is to all people who deal with a tough situation and enjoy heavier tones.

Follow-up (F/U) single to Meg's well received tune "So Many Things" (over 13,300 plays on Soundcloud in 2017).  This pop/ alternative R&B song is a homage to infatuation.  Meg is a multi-instrumentalist member of The Band Oslo Snowe and has toured world wide with various chorales as a mezzo-soprano. The song was written and produced by fellow Oslo band member Dennis Morgan.

Broadreach Music and The Band Oslo Snowe are a group of best-friend musicians Dennis Morgan, Meg Hinton, Zan deHavilland, and Peggy Johnson rooted in the Indie-Alternative and Singer-songwriter genres who currently focus on transforming their works of self-described "story-songs" into video productions.  Both the band and solo projects on this platform view their creative approach to songwriting as poems that feature a plot.  A favorite is the story-song, Hurricane Part I and II by Bob Dylan and Jacques Levy protesting the imprisonment of professional boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter.
