Imagine all the scenarios and feelings in your day to day life, there are many to think of.

In my new series ‘Home Comforts’ I aim to set the scene of those different life scenarios, designed for the comfort of your home or for when these moments present themself for real.

To begin I thought of no place better than home itself. This could have gone in many directions but I wanted to express what I myself might listen to at home. 
I wanted something non-intrusive yet guiding. To accompany working, sleeping, or contemplating your day when you finally turn the lights out.

Tip: Listen at a low volume in your living room or bedroom

Home Comforts - 01 - At Home

Preparing food can be a ritual.
It can calm the mind and focus thoughts in apprehension of smell, taste and quenching hunger.
Whether that be with friends, loved ones or alone, episode two of Home Comforts is about those cozy moments in the kitchen. 
The candles are lit as the smell of the meal drifts over. 
Your old friends come round, all gather in the kitchen while you chop, slice and they open the wine.

In a time where we are told to keep distance, we can still stay close in our minds.

Home Comforts - 07 - Cuddle

Imagine the scenario..
Cigarette lit, red wine on the counter, jazz and blues loud from behind, and a view over the newly green hills. You pick up your paint brush, and thats all there is to do that day, paint.

I love to throw many colours, random materials and tape on an empty floor, and get down on my knees and play and create something I had never thought of before. Though, of course there needs to be a soundtrack for that too..

I hope I can inspire you to do the same,
If any of you do end up painting something, please send it to me, I would be more than happy to see what you came up with!

Home Comforts - 08 - Painting

The home comforts series (along with my Barefoot Adventures) are a true way for me to express myself as an artist.

Its a different kind of experience to playing in a club, to making people dance. I want to take a moment to thank everyone of you who has supported it so far.  I appreciate some people may be put off when there aren’t beats and it isn’t within the club format.

I feel as if there is enough of that right now, and thats why I am focusing on other things for now.
The point of these projects I run is to give people more than one certain thing, to create moods and feelings relevant to all of us, whether that be your grandmother sitting by the fire, or you and your lover laying in the grass.

A big dream for me is to feel 100% open and free with my creative choices, not to feel locked into one sound or one stereotype, because after all aren’t we made of 60% water? Shouldn’t we flow and move in that way too?   We aren't concrete squares.

So once again, hugs for the support. Its a dream.

Here is my new Home Comforts, designed for your trip to the forest, to escape this madness and remind yourself what you are part of.
Inspired by my school days and our long youthful nights spent by the campfire, singing, beatboxing and staring into the abyss of those very flames.
