As the town quietly sleeps, 
I look out across the road.
In my mind are mountain peaks, 
And vast open spaces. 
In my eyes are old walls, and cafes.
I ponder on the sign that hangs from this window.
From this window I am sleeping.

From this window I see the same corner
That I saw yesternight.
From this window I see a mirror 
In the blackness of night.
Yellow white low light shines on a lover in my bed.
Chaos and order misunderstood in my head.
From this window I am a cog 
In a very slow machine,
From this window I see memories 
That I wish I’d never seen.
The fresh air at this window. 
The shivering signature symbol.

From my window I see many things.

the apotheosis of confusion

a set of woman's intuition

can't get distracted by the aesthetics and principles 
free myself from all attachments 
end of summer and I'm stuck in a routine
variations of the same old thing
can you inspire me to believe
it's not so dire

when fighting half your demons
there's no reason you shouldn't be laughing
in the face of uncertainty
a pragmatic stance solves everything

A Friend

Brockley Forest released their Castaway EP on May 11th. Since their previous release, the band have supported the likes of Idles, Fidlar and Honeyblood for sold out performances at Bristol’s Louisiana venue and the iconic Bristol Fleece. Other notable performances from BBC 6 Music Festival and Dot to Dot have helped establish Brockley Forest as an exciting up and coming duo from Bristol. 

Friends since the age of 11, the duo cemented their kinship with a cross-country trip through America, spanning 10,000 miles and a temporary habitat in the Mojave desert. Upon returning to the UK, Brockley Forest was born.
