Juicy Fruit

C. G. Brown has been involved with music since childhood, as a listener, player, composer, selector, tastemaker and DJ. A life-long love of jazz led him to follow its descendants of fusion, hip-hop, broken beat, and electronic music, and eventually to step behind the turntables in 2001, and behind the production boards a few years later.  As a former resident of P’cheen and of the landmark W Hotel in downtown Atlanta, he has constructed a style that gives a nod to the trendy pop energy of today’s music while still leaving its heart in soulful, globally influenced broken beat and electronic sounds. 

As of 2020, Brown is primarily exploring live music, songwriting, and composition, working with musicians to produce genre-defying sounds rooted in 80s baby influences and futuristic ideas.
