Broken Branches were born in the languid seaside town of Bournemouth, England, providing music for a discerning and modern hi-fi audience. 
A pleasingly fresh, yet familiar concoction of Americana style indie-torch song meets thinking-man's pop, with a hint of latest software… rather like an update of Advocaat and lemonade with a dash of Red Bull.

Now quietly going about crafting their sonic tapestry in the idyllic tranquil of Berkshire’s Shushstudio, joined and guided by the loving hands of seasoned alt-indie stalwart Danny De Matos, they are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album “Elderflower Road”, in which vintage acoustic guitars with piano and small wooden hand percussion melds with mangled echoing ambient analogue synths and a string quartet.
 
It bears the hallmark of a uniquely new and enchanting contemporary alt-indie pop project at it's most fragile, created in a defiantly independent and uncompromisingly relaxed way.

With plans for a fully-fledged release due for sometime in 2014, and as evidenced through the recordings here, it seems that their sound will continue to truly capture something akin to a dark, post-college hang-out long player. An aurally poetic urban symphony played on an 80’s hi-fi with big speakers at moderate volume, whilst reading sleeve-notes with a friend for imaginary long Indian summers and warm winters in the garden that so nearly were... 
If you understand, there is hope. It’s what you need. It’s what we all need.
