For jubilee FNR-075 release The Soul Surfers singing ode to all the Funk Night Records crew all over the world - from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia throught Saint Petersburg, Tallinn, and much much different places to Detroit, Michigan, US. "My Crew" is a soul crossover song from the inner space.
New single of "FREE FUNK", that's how the band called this genre, also featured "Smell Of Detroit" on the b-side. This is slowly bouncing psychedelic ballad about Detroit's finest flowers and spirits.

Back in 2002, High C of the Dallas Texas based crate digging crew Rehash and DJ Raj Mahal of Soul Strut would swap mixes to feature on each other's site (Real Audio style).  The mixes usually contained loads of breaks and beats lifted from obscure 70s jazz & funk, with the occasional soundtrack and prog record thrown in.  I present you exhibit A.
