Somewhere lurking under the last leaves on the ground, squirming and squelching with the mycelium and microorganisms, we find Timnahs sonic world tucked away in a sacred place. Taking inspiration from the natural world, she has solidified a name for herself as a purveyor of psychedelic rhythms and carefully curated cacophonies. As a resident at the renowned Elysia club in Basel, she has honed her skills further and expanded her sound into ambient and experimental territories. 

This edition of Unrush is a testament to Timnah's ear for the uncanny and sense for crafting a dynamic narrative. Solemn drones guide us like a soft breeze into the winter months, only interrupted by washes of organic textures and subtle electronics. Joined for my next instalment on SWU with the founders of rdg tribe, who have curated a sublime mix, seaming together abstract, minimal and dub like textures. 

Javier Salazar are the founders to 'rdg tribe'. Their label focuses on and hosts an array of sounds from the realm of psychedelic underground EDM, spanning from ambient, half time to deep techno and breaks. The duo's own track curations are the pinnacle to deep and hypnotic production and demonstrates how these sounds can undeniably entice listeners into the vortex that this music can take you through.

Camu is next up on our Podcast series with a bewitching recording from last years Springkell gathering. The setting is a dim lit, softly furnished room of a Scottish rural estate with a fireplace gently crackling and whispering into the space. Everyone is quiet, sitting or laying still and diving into the sounds emanating from all four corners of the room, fully immersed in the ritual of communal listening 🐚

Camu is a Spanish born and based artist pulling at the deeper strings of ambient, drone and sound art informed electro-acoustic music. He is the co-founder of Madrid-based event space Especio Perpendicular that he co-runs with local group of fellow deep music enthusiats. Highly recommended for anyone in or visiting Madrid and looking for a night out of the ordinary 🌚✨

Charging headstrong into the cavernous spaces filled with drones, overheard field recordings, sounds hanging in earshot by the faintest thread, this journey is at the same time fragile and powerful. The dynamics flow with intent from barely audible to overwhelming, from fluid to abrasive, no stone left unturned in this microscopic survey of sound and emotion 🕯️
