Afterglow

AFTERGLOW

Mattias made a track with a lot of different sounds as the beat, and Ouwle got inspired and made a short melody and intro.

Mattias loved the arpeggio synth pluck melody and the beat so they decided to work on it and make a whole track. Ouwle had already created a bass line so they sat on Discord and finished the track over a couple of weeks.

Oulwe sent the stems to Mattias and he mixed and mastered the track trying to preserve the dynamics, and make it shine.

Seduction - remix vocal edition (Zodiac III Beat Contest)

Nevermore was tracked roughly a year ago. We were figuring out how to work on songs as we have difficulties being together physically due to distance and family.

We started to send samples back and forth on Dropbox as we worked in different DAWs, and later we started to work on Discord, which turned out to be great for us as we could share screen and sound.

With Nevermore, we started to find our sound: a steady beat and melody that drive the slow downtempo song forward, assisted by warm synth bass pads and drones.

Ouwle accidentally opened up a project just as we were done working on another track, and I heard this lovely melody. I just said, "Let's make track of this," and Star Cry was born out of a nebula anomalie, and it was young and fearless.

This track was made for a beat competition by Adam Audio and Jay Cactus.

I didn't finish it in time for submission, but I liked the track that it developed into, so I decided to release it.

I came up with the name Station 350 because the track is like a train ride, and it was supposed to be no longer than 3 minutes and 50 seconds. I failed miserably there.

Raveolution

Affinity is a Lo-fi-ish track that I started to track 2021, but never finished.

I've started to go through old projects to see what can be made into a finished song. I liked the guitar melody on this track and decided to try to finish it.

It is quite a repetitive song and would probably need a little bit more variation, but I decided to keep it as it is as a reminder of the days when I was at the beginning of my producer journey.

Edge of Saturday Night Remix - Chemical Shift

Broken Nomads and Chemical Shift.

Mattias and Ouwle are an ambient/downtempo duo formed during the summer of 2021. Ouwle moved to Mattias after he finished higher education so he could look for work and a permanent place to stay. One evening he was making music in FL studio and Mattias was hooked straight away, fighting post covid and exhaustion syndrome and not being able to play his accordion and do any kind of physical exercise Mattias was desperate to find something to be able to express his artistic side and to be creative. 
Together they made the track Afterglow.
They started to plan for more tracks and the name Broken Nomads was born, two broken souls in a broken world.

Chemical Shift is the solo project of Mattias from Broken Nomads.

Mattias experiments with and explores many different genres in electronic music, and spices it up with elements from other genres he’s listened to throughout his life.
