'Grug' is the solo bass project of Sam Knights, co - founder & director of the Australian Bass music label '8Ball Audio'. The Grug project focuses on a variety of bass music styles, specifically influenced by Dubstep, Drum n Bass, Halftime and Leftfield Bass. Since 2009, Sam has travelled to each corner of Australia playing at some of the most renowned festivals in the circuit, with regular appearances at Earth Frequency, Mushroom Valley, Dragon Dreaming, Esoteric Festival and even as far as Wide Open Space festival and Dark Mofo. Aside from a regular domestic gigging schedule, Sam has played shows as far as Japan, The UK, Canada, Croatia, New Zealand and Cambodia.
