"Nobody" is a video installation, a collaboration between Vida Kashani, an Iranian-born artist, and Johan Delétang, a French-born artist, both currently residing in the Netherlands. 
The artwork explores their shared experience of loss of spatial and cultural references due to migration. Through the use of dance, poetry, and reconstructed spaces born of colorful and moody lights, the film effectively and physically delves into their mutual longing for a home. In doing so, the work reflects on the challenges to one’s sense of self when confronted with a new environment. The dance piece featured in the video, performed by the talented Maria Mavridou, seamlessly blends delicate mythical postures with evocative and restless movements,  evoking a profound sense of inner search. Complemented by the music composed by Iranian producer Kamran Arashnia, the viewer embarks on a textured and emotionally charged journey through a contemporary existential inquiry.

Bursting onto the scene, the Danish-Honduran singer has set herself apart as one of the most exciting artists and performers on the Danish dance music scene. With a charged, fiery voice and direct, expressive songwriting, she twists sophisticated
deep house beats into fresh, unorthodox pop songs that throb with pathos.

With only three songs out, Julie has already caught the attention of audiences and critics alike, with Soundvenue (DK) calling her “the country’s most fierce and savage live performer.” Her second single, ‘Jealous’, was premiered by Gilles Peterson on
BBC and her third, ‘Don’t Call Me Out’ received pick of the week on national Danish radio P3. She has played a sold-out headliner show in Copenhagen and performed
 at Roskilde Festival, Heartland, Lollapalooza (Berlin) plus multiple shows in Germany and the UK.

Julie’s first outing for Music for Dreams will be the single ‘High’, to released September 8. The track reveals a more austere, atmospheric sound than her previous material. An estranged voice ringing through the loveless space of a dubby, compulsively driven house beat.

Julie says: “The song is about the emotional contrasts in how I experience myself
through the eyes of others. The high is the state of joy and desire and pure energy. The line ‘I’m so much more fun, ain’t I?’ is both sort of strong assertion and a more timid or vulnerable question to those around me. Am I really?

There is a process of understanding that it isn’t just the highs that are positive but that you can also be appealing or have value in other frames of mind. But at the same time, isn’t the highs still just more fun?

There are a lot of layers and complexities in that feeling that I want to capture in the song. I picture this scene of standing on the dancefloor and being just where I want, this sense of infinite joy. And then everything ending, and the darkness descending. I try to turn over this scene through the verses, the emotional states involved in it and the attitudes towards the world they give rise to. The impulse that if you don’t understand this darkness, then you don’t get to see me in the light either. As a way of taking back control."


‘High’ is produced in collaboration between Julie Pavon and Uffe Christensen. It is the first single in a lead-up to an EP for Music for Dreams.
