Bromheads (previously Bromheads Jacket) are a Sheffield garage duo: Tim Hampton (lead
vocal/ electric guitar) and Dan Potter (drums). After releasing 12 free download singles
this is now their official “Holding The Gun” EP release (29th October). The EP is a fast,
furious, and energetic offering demonstrating that this is a duo that can absolutely make
amazing noise.

So the story so far…

Two lads met and started a band. They wrote some songs and played them on a bus, in a
library, people's bedrooms, a few other places and then at a show with the Pixies.

They built studios and practice rooms, for them and their mates to record and rehearse
in.

They recorded an EP and an album ( to be released early 2013). They hid the EP on a USB
drive and left clues on their Facebook for people to find it. People found it, hid it again,
and left more clues until it was accidentally stolen. Someone bought a puzzle from Oxfam
and the drive was inside.

Returning with their first full length album since the transition from Bromheads Jacket to Bromheads, ‘CHORO' is a fizzing entity of perpetual energy that is sure to make an impression. Released on the 15th April, ‘CHORO’ will be available on digital download and CD through Townsend/Universal, and available on pre-order from 11th February at www.bromheads.tv

Bromheads last release saw the band give away individual tracks to their fans for free over the course of a year, which was eventually compiled into ‘The Lamp Sessions’. However with ‘CHORO', the process has been a much more concentrated and concerted effort, in a passionate attempt to capture the raw quality of live recordings. Lead singer, Tim Hampton, details the manner of recording as such, ‘We wanted to capture that excitement you get in the practise room when you first play a song together that's only just been written. If there are mistakes so what? The idea was to capture the rawness and energy you get from playing something new".

The single taken from the album, ‘Gonna Let You Melt’, is the perfect symbol for this refined attitude from Bromheads, which itself was ‘written and demoed’ the night before the band went into the studio. Unbounded and unabashed, ‘CHORO’ is a swift return to form for this eponymous Sheffield band.

Bromheads are a 50's inspired garage band formed in Sheffield, UK in 2009. Formed by Tim Hampton,and Dan Potter from their previous 3 piece band Bromheads Jacket. They're a duo building a reputation for raucous live shows in the UK in bedsits, underground clubs to guerrilla gigs in libraries.
