Hi all, 

I will be doing a small number of All Night Long sets , starting on the 21st of September in London. 

The focus will be MUSIC. All kinds, and a lot of it. 

To give you a taste of what it will sound like, I'm preparing a series of mixes. 
Here's the first one, the Funk & Boogie edition. More likely to be what you'll hear if you walk into the room early, which I really think you should do.

Aeroplane - All Night Long - Funk & Boogie Edition

"Superpicture Mix is the sound of a hip-hop car and disco bus colliding on the moon. I often make up artwork in my head and then make a soundtrack to it, like an imaginary reference even though sometimes I feel like that’s cheating. I’m hugely influenced by 80s disco, that twinkly synthy kind that my parents think is rubbish. I accidentally seem to keep a theme of these blips and bleeps throughout the music that I create. I think mixes should always be a journey, even if it leads you off somewhere you didn’t originally intend. I set out to make this mix for me to dance to but then listening back there are big spaces and sounds that make that difficult. I think the journey aspect of a mix is more important than just throwing some of your favourite tunes together. I also like to mix harmonically, editing and layering elements of two or three tracks to create new music. Like a kids puzzle except you can edit the pieces"

It's been a while since our last guestmix, and what better way to keep it lit then with an exclusive mix from an artist that's a housemate of the label and a friend, Satin Jackets. The last year has been a big one for this German based outfit (no pun intended) with releases currently sitting high on Beatport charts, productions in great demand, a worldwide following and the kicking off of the first series of live shows all over the place. Judging by the outfits work ethos this is only going to be the tip of the iceberg. 

Satin Jackets trademark sound is slow, sultry and brimming with optimism and todays mix reinforces this aesthetic. With a BPM that's in no hurry this mix is full of summer heat. With plenty of hooky vocals and a non pretentious approach to track selection this typifies Satin Jackets ethos of music to make you smile. We caught up with Tim and Den to ask them a few questions, some pertinent and some pointless.
