On the menu today for starters some classic laidback westside tracks, a Cookin Soul production for CJ Fly and a remix of 50 Cent's 21 Questions.  We proceed with a COOL remix by Ben Pearce and some light house tunes to work on that appetite. Main dish is a mixed grill with some heavier stuff by Alex Arnout, Waze & Odyssee, Detroit Swindle and ESTA and for desert a sweet Janet Jackson remix. Have a nice one!

This track was recorded some years back, after Dirty Hairy shared his 'Jazflats' instrumental with his listeners. It was due to instant inspiration that led to a pen being brandished and the mic device being assembled in a dark corner of the audio dojo for the Soulful Jackanory (Gadget) to zone out upon the funky sound-waves that originated from  the actual 'Jazflat', the once location of the dynamic duo, Dirty Treats. Once Gadget had completed his journey through time, space and sound, Hairy was contacted so he could hear the additional science that Gadget had applied to his original formula. The two were pleased with the overall result and concluded in agreement that this was something that was to be shared with the world. Thus, 'Gimmie A Break.'

Second comes a familiar name that won't need further introduction, Stee Downes, one of the most representative voices of today's house scene gets remixed by Gabe into a slow ragga infused song that puts the magnificent vocals in motion, one that is perfect for those chilling sunsets at the beach.

Turning the page, Thomas Krauze puts together a funk monster with a catchy live bass riff that grows into an enormous bassline groove, this sure will get the party flowing.

This magnificent EP wraps up with another collaboration between this two talents, "I Dont Need You" is a true deep house masterpiece with a rolling bass, sexy female vocals, sweet rhodes licks and key solos.

To say the arrival of the Swedish trio 'Monitor 66' onto the scene has been explosive would be a pretty big understatement. House of Disco Records is proud to have taken them under their proverbial wing for the labels first single release, the swede's ethereal anthem 'Triscuits'. This track made huge waves when first shown to the world gaining strong support from 'The Magician' and a whole host of others at the top of their game. 

The track itself floats somewhere between the dance floor and the cumulous clouds above, lulling you to sleep while at the same time invigorating you. Grounded by a vocal sample from an old Keith Sweat track 'Triscuits' glides on a bed of warm synths and vocal stabs that will haunt your memory and a breakdown that reminds you of the timeless nature of just plain old good music.
