Brooke Sharkey grew up in London before moving to France at the age of 9, which naturally draws her songwriting to be both in English and French. 
Her musical journey started in 2009 when she started to perform in the streets of Norfolk  followed by London, Paris, Bristol and beyond. 
Brooke has since released 3 EPs and 2 albums  of her own songs with the latest gaining her praise from The Guardian naming her one of the top 50 independent artists in the world doing it their own way. She has headlined venues such as The Jazz cafe, played at Cambridge folk festival and won (ex aequo) the “Concert of the year award” at The Union Chapel in 2017.
Her music has been compared to the likes of Kate Bush, Ane Brun and Lhasa de sela. Her unique, ethereal and distinctive vocals and lyrics explore the vast yet intricate themes of love, loss, hope, beauty, nature, seduction and wonder. 
Having relocated to Oslo, Norway, in 2020, she has been recording a collection of new songs entitled Under Stones. Her 2024 Autumn/winter shows will be presenting these new songs live prior to their release in 2025.
