Using some stochastic VST and js files in Reaper on Vacuum Pro synth, came up with a humid summer drone that always changes but always stays the same.

Endless Summer

following a prompt 

Step 1: Think about stereo for a moment.

Step 2: Now think about it a bit more — specifically, think less about using stereo as a means to give a sense of a physical space to a recording, and more about using stereo as a compositional tool.

Step 3: Record a piece of music in which you engage with stereo based on the ideas you formulated in Step 1 and Step 2.

If The Light Goes Out Tomorrow

This was a fully improvised live gig using only Buchla modules and thrid-party Buchla modules.  No keyboard, no controllers, no samples, no computer, no iPad, no pre-recorded playback. . . just knob twiddling going into a RC-20 looper and then an Eventide Space reverb. One of the great powers music has is to synchronize our senses with a specific place, time, and feeling. Anja Zaube utilizes this aspect well, whether it be through her blissfully cathartic DJ sets or her intentional and well-executed live sets. Here we are presented with the latter,  an excursion into the depths of Anja's personal sonic universe that brings us into the elements and out of the body. Layered with thickets of field recordings, live synth work, and delicately pulsating percussion, it plays as one long-form piece that gradually shifts and seduces the mind. With close ties to ://about blank and the Berlin underground, Anja channels a certain mystique and sound that is characteristic of all that goes on here. So lose yourself in this special live edition of UNRUSH and feel time start to slip away...
