Carlo has been a steady force of deep house for the last 15 years with successful releases on over a dozen different labels. This latest foray on Lovedancing is one of his best. The entire EP is loosely influenced by The Neverending Story, apparent in the creative and enigmatic use of samples, inspired sounds, artwork and themes.

Every track is highly danceable, with the A-side title song taking front and center, utilizing an impressively complex layering of sounds and rhythm from the swung drums, to synth fills, to groaning siren sounds in the background.

The B-side finds the chunky and moody sounds of Gmork, and the disco-tinged Pyornkrachzark. A solid three tracker from start to finish that will find its home in many crates for an array of reasons

For the third release on Astropical Tapes, the Polish label have invited various artists to contribute to the ‘Interstellar Funk’ EP. Among them are Marcin Krupa and Astro Buhloone, who contributed the past two releases on the label, alongside a host of new talent. 

One of these new artists is Easy Audio, whose effort ‘Gypsy Funk’ we premiere today. ‘Gypsy Funk’ uses snatches of vocals and a 2-step drum pattern to create a vivacious sense of life within the track. This is supplemented by strummed guitars and whispering flutes that sound like they are lifted from old traveller’s folk music, perhaps explaining the song’s title.

First Play: Easy Audio - Gypsy Funk [Astropical Tapes]

Tissu finally makes the leap from Mörk to the LT main label with another delirious EP of swampy and woozy late night house tales.

Drawing off the sound of his earlier work, the Space Loop EP mashes together the more ambiguously low pass-filtered style of ambient house with the thumping and racheting sounds of space station maneuvering, interstellar mechanics and cloud-skimming high-altitude plane excursions.

Locked in a rotating motion all of it's own, Space Loop builds layers of space dust, Earth-beamed transmissions and NASA ramblings alongside distorted rhythmic hat work and throbbing kick 'n' bass.

RV Jam takes the same formula but applies a shedload of heaving swing into the mix plus a delay-drenched crystalline-cave synth pattern that echoes into the night throughout the Southern Icelandic region under the Northern Lights.

Lastly, Filter Dub sees two outings for the release. The Tissu-leaning Original Mix buzzes with rippling acid lines and more dub-delayed pads and skittering percussion on a smooth mix-down. Whilst the LT-preferred Hard Mix ramps up the percussive medley for a more intense and raw assault of drums and textures.

MIMS is hyped to premiere an epic new remix of Fred Everything's sought after house hit "Here (Now)" by the king of space disco himself, Prins Thomas.

A 10-minute space disco journey as only Prins Thomas can deliver, his "Diskomiks" incorporates elements from both the original 2003 version and Fred's 2020 update.

Back in 2003, nearly 20 years ago now, Fred Everything released 2 albums  on Ralph Lawson’s 20:20 Vision, alongside a heap of singles and remixes. In between those albums, he released a single called 'Over You'. Unexpectedly, the b-side, "Here (Now)" turned into a bit of a hit!  

One fan was Ian Pooley, who always told Fred it was the his best track ever. And as recent as 2019, Ian picked it for a feature in Telekom Electronic Beats about his top 5 B-Side tracks, overnight boosting the Discogs price for the original EP to 100 EU.

Fred felt inspired to dig out the song from his archives. Finding all the original stems he couldn't resist putting a new spin on the song himself. But he wasn't done there and could see it being a good opportunity for reinterpretation. 

Fred tells us, "when I dug out this project, I instantly thought of Prins Thomas as I’m a big fan of his and could hear his cosmic touch on this. It helped that I was working with him on another alias project for his label at the same time. He felt bad that the remix was 10 mins long but I embraced that. It’s a rarity these days for music to really take its time to live and breath. Extremely pleased with the result!"

Digital is out later this week  but you can order the vinyl from a number of stores now.
